The FoundersAs the founders and directors of India Christian Ministries, together James and Sarah Rebbavarapu have been leading ICM as it dramatically impacts the lives of thousands across the state. They met in India while Sarah was on a mission trip, and we have now been married for 20 years and have five wonderful children. James, a third generation minister, earned his Bachelors of Theology degree from Southern Asia Christian College in Chennai and his Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. Sarah graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Community Development with minor in Non-Profit Administration and Education.
We invite you to listen to a personal interview with James as he shares the vision of CCDC, as it works to combat the issue of child trafficking in the villages of rural India and provide futures of hope and opportunity for these at-risk children.
Hannah Granata is a wife and a homeschooling mother of four, with a heart for the nations and a passion that others would know the amazing grace of God. She is filled with compassion for those around her: whether it be the ever multiplying number of pets in her household, those she sees in daily life, or people she hasn’t met an ocean away. Hannah was drawn to the nation of India after living there for several months as a little girl. That love was rekindled in 2015 after a trip to visit Sarah’s Covenant Homes in Hyderabad. Hannah has served with several non-profits in the Oklahoma City area in an eclectic variety of roles for over 15 years before taking time off to take care of her own little ones. With her husband, Eric, she has run a successful web and creative solutions business, helping businesses and ministries to communicate effectively. They also work closely with The Art of Manliness, an immensely popular men’s blog, where Hannah has managed several successful publishing projects. In Hannah’s shrinking free time, she enjoys seeing good movies with her husband, drawing, building things, and working in her yard. Hannah is a fervent believer that every child is a gift from God, worthy of love, and deserves an education! She is excited to be working with Covenant Child Development Centers to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of families in the most need!
Mission and VisionCovenant Child Development Centers is a program of India Christian Ministries (ICM), an indigenous ministry located in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is an organization dedicated to community transformation working through Covenant Churches in villages, towns, and cities. These churches form a base from which ICM engages in various service activities aimed at improving the living conditions of the poor in India, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. India Christian Ministries’ purpose is to impact every area of people’s lives in a positive and life changing way. We have instituted a wide range of programs and events to address the needs of the poor in areas such as health and hygiene, education, famine and flood relief. We are not only assisting the poor in their current circumstances, but we are training and educating them, so that the cycle of poverty may be broken in future generations. This is the long-term vision of India Christian Ministries.
A significant aspect of India Christian Ministries’ work with the poor is the caring for abandoned children, orphans and children in other types of crisis needing long-term care. We welcome this opportunity to share our vision for the future of these children in crisis.
